There's global warming, so a geneticist scientist decides to create varieties of plants with edible fruit, which capture a lot of greenhouse gases and grow extremely fast, in order to tackle the problem as quickly as possible.

However, the scientist soon realized that the plants were producing a surplus of oxygen, which was causing insects to swell, fungi and bacteria to proliferate, fires to break out... and the plants seemed to be developing enhanced cognitive abilities (equal to those of a human).  The plants began to become dangerous, invading cities, insects and fungi too... the international authorities declared a state of alert and decided to confine the population to bunkers. Problem: not enough space. The secure places were reserved for the richest. The poorest will be left to fend for themselves in a wild and dangerous vegetated planet, trying to survive the animals... and the carnivorous plants that eat humans (they take their revenge on humans because of pollution).
